Droid Does Valentines Day
Wednesday, 08 February 2012 11:45
We all know that Valentines Day can be a bit difficult, having to plan a special day and put together all of the details. Your Droid Smartphone can help. I'm not just talking about changing your ringtone and setting up a sweet wallpaper. All of your plans for the day are covered here; might even help you save a little money at it.
Here's your checklist:
Considering that you have probably waited until the last minute to get all of these parts accomplished, I'll show you how easy it can be when you have a little help from your apps. Lets start with the romantic card. E-Cardsis an app that lets you create a virtual card to sent to that special someone. Share your card with them via email, Twitter, or Facebook. You can even use pictures from your owns phone gallery to completely personalize the message.
Chocolates are fairly simple. Use the Walgreens or CVS apps to check for coupons and nearby locations to quickly stop in for sweets. We can still help you if you want to take it one step further. Find Chocolate! is your personal guide to all fine chocolate shops. It uses your location to find all the nearby gourmet chocolate shops and provides a map showing how to get to them. Check other users ratings of the shops and get the best candies for your love.
If you're really looking to impress this Valentines Day you may be thinking of something a little more sparkly to give her. First place to check would be the Jewelry Finder app. This will show you the best deals for online jewelry shopping. Searches hundreds of classified websites and online marketplaces. Sort by price, location, or type. Even drop gift hints by forwarding listings via Facebook or email.

Doing pretty well, only one more thing to set up, dinner. This may be the easiest part if you have Open Tableon your smartphone. Search for restaurants in your area based on price, reviews or cuisine. Results are mapped and show real-time table availability. Even look over the menu to be sure you will both enjoy a meal there. If it all looks good, place your reservations directly through the app for free! A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after. Find the right place, the right meal, and the right reservations all in one place.
So there you are, stop worrying about how you can manage a perfect day for your special someone. All the answers are neatly packaged in your Android Market.

Are You On Voxer?
Wednesday, 01 February 2012 12:52
Over the last few months, we have seen an app called Voxer grow in download popularity. In short, it is a walkie-talkieapplication for both Android and Apple smartphones. But, it really does pack a lot more than just that.
As soon as you set up the app on your phone, you will see that the layout is clean and easy to use. It automatically pulls in your Facebook friends and contacts that are using Voxer so that you can start chatting with them at the push of a button. You will also be notified as soon as another one of your connected friends joins the Voxer network. Also suggest the app to any of your other contacts.
You can chat with one other person or a group but, the most useful part is the versatility of how you can talk. Send a text message, a photo, or a voice note. The messages you send can include your current location on google maps. This could come in very useful if you are trying to meet with someone else; you no longer have to write out where you are and how to get there. For privacy, this is also a function you can disable.
Texting had become a huge part of the current communication, Voxer doesn't take away from that but, reintegrates walkie-talkie use that you aren't constantly stuck typing in messages to your phone. Talk to the people on your Facebook easily while also sending photos and location information.
Voxer is free to use and free of advertisements. Making it even more easy and enjoyable to use. For more information on Voxer and how to use it, stop into any of our stores in Ellington, Enfield, Vernon, or Stafford.

Express Is Going Green
Tuesday, 24 January 2012 13:33
Express has decided to go green by contracting Earthlight to provide us an analysis of how we can save money with our electric bill by changing all lights to LED's within each of our four stores. This will substantially reduce the number of kilowatt-hours we consume each month reflecting not only a large savings on our monthly electric bills, but less consumption of energy and natural resources. There is no out-of-pocket monies involved and the cost of the monthly payment to do this will be very close if not less than what we gain in savings each month in each store. The monthly loan payment is also interest free.
We are looking forward to saving 11,752 kilowatt-hours in our Ellington store annually and working with light which is more like daylight lighting. How great is that? Less kilowatt-hours and better lighting! We start the launch of our energy-saving movement in our Ellington location and are looking forward to continuing the change to the other three stores in Vernon, Enfield, and Stafford, Connecticut.
More green movements are coming soon from Express. Stay tuned to see how they can help save YOU money!

How You Can Protect Your Phone
Thursday, 19 January 2012 14:07
There are many choices to consider when getting a new phone, and not all of them have to do with the technology specs. Although it may not be as exciting as your new device, it's important to know about the available insurance policies that can protect your new phone or tablet. If you tend to be rough on your phones, work somewhere they are likely to get damaged, are forgetful, or simply getting an expensive device that should be protected, insurance is something to consider during the buying process. Insurance has to be added at or close to the time of purchase so be sure you know whether or not you would like to have a policy.
Express Verizon offers their customers two different policies for their mobile devices, Asurion and Protectcell. Both cover liquid or physical damage. They will also provide replacements if your phone is lost or stolen. Should you need to file a claim, Express Verizon is always happy to help you process it. Then you simply pay the deductible and the replacement is shipped to you overnight.
The standard Asurion coverage offered by all Verizon stores is paid in monthly installments on your Verizon Wireless statement. The fee ranges from $5.18 to $10.99 a month depending on the value of the equipment. The downfall to this coverage is that you are only permitted two replacement claims for the 20 month period that you have until you upgrade again.
Express Verizon offers an alternative option via Protectcell. With this carrier, you pay for the insurance in an upfront cost ranging from $59.99 to $199.99 depending on the equipment and whether you want one or two-year coverage. In most cases this is less expensive that the monthly payments. With this, you also have unlimited replacement claims.
Both companies also offer coverage on tablets. They do have to be activated on a Verizon Wireless plan for it to apply.
If you would like additional information please stop in to any of our locations in Ellington, Enfield, Vernon or Stafford, Connecticut.

Multiple programs will run smoothly simultaneously and all of your pics, videos and games will have crystal clear, vibrant clarity.
Android 4.0 also brings in its own bag of upgrades to make your phone even more responsive and easy to use. Voice search and command is available from any of the home screens and new folder types will pop up also to shorten your access time to the programs you need.
Probably the coolest feature of the 4.0 upgrade is the new unlock option. Instead of fumbling with PINs and passwords you can know scan your face to unlock the device. No longer worry about forgetting the log-in to get into your device and ensure that no one else can access your most protected information.
Another new feature with the latest software is Android Beam. It is the next level of programs similar to Bump and Bluetooth transfers.
